Does anyone have any good drink-related fun facts?

One I always find interesting is that rum originally came from using leftovers from the sugar-making process. Traditionally, it’s distilled from molasses and other sugar cane byproducts.

There are so many weird little facts and stories around spirits and cocktails once you start getting into them.
