My mind is sober. but my body is drunk. Anyone else?

It is weird. It’s not because of tolerance, I recently started consuming alcohol, however when I drink a lot I feel a big delay in what I say and see, but my thinking is completely sober. Anyone else have that? More than once I saw my friends who were very drunk and their behavior was like an animal that’s why I wonder what’s wrong with me if I can pretend to be a “sober” person
