Review: 3 Oregon Roses from Stoller Wines, 2026 Releases

Elouan, Stoller Family Estate, and Chehalem may not be near one another (Elouan is in California and Chehalem is in Oregon), but all are part of the Stoller Wine Group, based in Oregon’s Willamette Valley.

Today we’re looking at three roses all made from Oregon pinot noir grapes, but representing two different vintages. Thoughts follow.

2024 Elouan Rose Oregon – “Grown in Oregon, made in California.” A pretty, strawberry-forward wine, this 100% pinot noir rose is laced with caramel and touched with floral notes, undercut with layers of lemon and mandarin orange. Juicy but refined, the wine finds a summery footing that meanders its way toward coconut and more tropical notes, concluding on a guava note. A total crowd-pleaser and a great value. A- / $15

2025 Chehalem Pinot Noir Rose Willamette Valley – A considerably drier wine than the Elouan, this 2025 expression hits as rather more traditional, almost rustic at times, with stronger orchard notes of peach and apricot, fading gently into lemon and baked apple as the wine warms up a bit. Again, some coconut gives the finish some exoticism, but it’s much more restrained than the above wine. B+ / $21

2025 Stoller Family Estate Pinot Noir Rose Willamette Valley – Hard-edged at first blush, with a heavily herbal influence that tempers the natural fruit and florals in the mix. I never quite came around to this expression, which remains steadfastly greener than the other expressions in this roundup, and a little weedy at times. That said, a lime sherbet character on the finish perks things up a bit, particularly as the wine warms in glass. Doesn’t really evoke a rose. B / $15
