Together with a team, we developed strabar.app, a completely free social network designed for smartphones (you can download it directly to your home screen as a PWA) but adaptable to any device. Live Session Tracking: Check-in at a venue and log the drinks you’re having (alcoholic or non-alcoholic—it works perfectly for non-drinkers too!). The app estimates your blood alcohol content (BAC) in real-time and calculates when you’ll be safe to drive again. Plus, friends you choose can follow your live session and comment. Leaderboards: View global and venue-specific rankings to see who the number one regular is. Events: Create an event, and anyone who accepts and logs their session will automatically enter a friendly competition. Private Leagues: Compete strictly within your inner circle without mixing with public leaderboards. “Bacari” & Pub Crawl Tour: Organize a multi-stop route. Strabar will guide you step-by-step using Google Maps, tracking your “performance” at every single stop.

We don’t want to be just another app that pushes people to drink more. Strabar estimates your BAC based on what you log and sends you a notification when you exceed the 0.5 g/l threshold (the legal driving limit in Italy and many European countries) to remind you to slow down or hand over your keys (in the future Strabar will call a taxi for you).

If you own a bar, pub, or bacaro, you can claim your venue using the “Do you own a venue?” feature. This allows you to:

Add custom, specific drinks to your venue’s menu for users to log. View the leaderboard of your most loyal and frequent customers. Sponsor events targeted exclusively to the customers who frequent your venue. Access a private dashboard to download a custom flyer/poster to hang in your bar, reminding customers to check-in and start their evening.
