Holistic Spirits Co. Unveils Botanical Vodka and Gin

Actor Woody Harrelson and wellness entrepreneur Amy Holmwood have teamed up to introduce two products from Holistic Spirits Co.: Origen specialty vodka, and Harmony Gin. The all-natural and botanical ingredient-based spirits were created using sustainable initiatives and certified green distilling methods.

Both Origen, which is made with organic white wheat, and Harmony, made with organic corn, are infused with a proprietary, natural blend of artichoke leaves, elderberries, green tea leaves, and muscadine grapes (indigenous only to the American South). Harmony Gin also includes juniper berries, coriander seed, hyssop, lemon peel, lime peel, angelica root and orris root. The resulting spirits contain zero sugar, artificial flavors or colors, and no GMOs.

Holmwood, who holds a master’s degree in biotechnology enterprise from John Hopkins University and a nutrition sciences certification from the Stanford Center for Health Education, used food science to devise the blend of botanical infusions in Origen and Harmony. Harrelson, a long-time vegan and outspoken environmentalist, decided to get involved after tasting the Origen blend. They previewed the spirits on Sept. 21 at Ray’s bar in New York, where Harrelson got behind the bar to mix a few rounds of drinks.

Origen (37% ABV) is available at a suggested retail price of $39.99 to $45.99 per 750-ml. bottle, and Harmony Gin (45% ABV) is available for $40.99 to $46.99 at select retailers in California, District of Columbia, Florida, Louisiana, New Jersey, New York and South Carolina, and online in most states at ReserveBar.com.
