Was I dating an alcoholic?

I was dating a man going through a divorce. I realize this is a rough patch for many. He loved to drink. He was 6’2 and about 200 lbs and would have like 5-6 cocktails at times when we hung out and still drive. He had 4 small bottles of liquor once on a flight and another cocktail we got to destination and was still able to drive two hours after. He would barely seem affected after drinking this much. He was also diagnosed with fatty liver disease and while we were dating. Which I know can be from other causes but still. He also had broken veins in his face. Just curious if this sounds concerning.
