REALLY weird affect stopping Naltrexone for alcohol???

I was taking naltrexone to help me stop drinking and it did help alot. i noticed after taking it for the first time the alcohol never gave me the euphoric feeling like it use to. it just gave me a really odd feeling whenever i would drink maybe a little more calmed down but deffinitley no high or good euphoric feeling from the alochol it tasted like i was drinkign really bad tasting water. i stopped taking the naltrexone though and its been ATLEAST 5 months since taking it and there is still NO euphoric feeling if i drink! did i permanantley destroy the endorphins in my brain?? shouldnt the naltrexones effects be out of my system and it no longer will have an effect on good feeling chemicals?? what is going on here……
