AITA for telling my husband he drinks too much?

For several months, my husband has been drinking between 8 and 12 beers a night. Now he’s drinking whiskey. I don’t remember the last time he’s gone a night without drinking. He makes it to work and seems functional but the amount he drinks concerns me a lot and makes me unhappy. I told him calmly that his drinking is affecting me and that I feel he’s drinking too often. He got really mad and defensive, telling me I shouldn’t care. Deep down it really does bother me especially because if he keeps it up then everything will get worse for him and he will need more and more. I just don’t want to feel like I’m being mean, it made him so mad that I told him how it makes me feel and I wish he would listen.
