Alcoholic genes?

I have never once in my life had a hangover or thrown up from alcohol. Sure I’ve blacked out, but always felt fine the following day. Is this genetic or does it have to do with age? Im only 18 so maybe it is just my body doing its work . Another point is that I get my drinks down very easily when my friends are struggling.
