Acid reflux

Hi folks!

Im not sure but is it possible that when i eat big meal before drinking alcohol it gives more symptoms when drinking alcohol than just eating small meal/snack before drinking? Because usually when i drink alcohol i feel nauseous but one time i think i didnt eat much but i did eat something and that time i didnt get any nausea when i was drinking alcohol.
