Cheapest way to get drunk that isn’t vodka?

Hey y’all,

Not to sound like an alcoholic, but what’s the cheapest booze to get drunk off of that tastes halfway decent, and ideally won’t give my middle-aged ass a hangover? Vodka is a no-go, as are cheap red wines, but anything else is on the table. I’m tired of paying $40/handle for Irish whiskey, but am not tired of getting drunk with some regularity.
