Alcohol intolerance?

From the age of like 21-23 I didn’t really have an issue with alcohol. Then for some reason a drink containing blue curaçao made my face bright red and blotchy after two sips at 23. Since then every subsequent time I’ve drank alcohol my face gets blotchy and red—even after 1 sip. Rum, whisky, tequila, beer—doesn’t matter. Though some like wine is way worse. Took a long break from alcohol. Recently tried a Heineken. Drank probably a shots worth and suddenly my nose is congested to hell. What the heck? Mentioned it to my allergist who acted like I was making shit up. So no help there.
