It would be cool if liquor bottles had score marks on the side to show serving sizes

I get they don’t do this because shot size varies around the world, and probably to encourage people to not realize how much they are having and drink more. It really wouldn’t be hard to configure the side sticker with measuring marks for different countries though. I guess the top curve and neck of the bottle would require a little extra math.

Still. It would be cool and useful for the home drinker, especially on a standard 750 ml bottle or smaller. I don’t think it would work as well on the big 1.75 L bottles since the distance would be so short in between.

The main reason I find measuring important is so someone can more easily find their limit, even if they don’t drink in moderation to begin with. Sips or pours from a bottle differs wildly. I used to measure out every shot just so I could know. But I hate having that bit that gets left and evaporates, especially if it’s something expensive or sticky from sweetness.

Anyways. I would pay like 25-50 USD cents more MAXIMUM for a bottle with a sticker like that. Listen up liquor companies that be creepin.

What do y’all think?
