Drink suggestions

I’m having my first beer of my life with a friend of mine and we choose budweiser magnum. Can you guys tell me about how high it gets you and how it tastes? One of my friend told me it tastes more like alkaline water.

And what stuff to have by side? Do I need to mix it with anything?
