Drinking but never drunk?

I’m only about 130lbs and I don’t drink. I’m not a drinker, I don’t smoke I don’t vape and I don’t do any of that. So I had drank once bc me and my gf were pregaming to go to the club. I drank nearly a whole bottle of (I think everclear) mixed with some juice. I later found out she had also put some bourbon (I think) in it too. I’m not really sure what the mix was but I know they were very high alcohol. It was a full size Stanley cup and I drank half.

I felt it pretty quickly and was definitely from the outside; drunk. But in my mind I was still very conscious of every decision I was making. She had to sit me down and eat bread bc I was too drunk to go to the club. We sat there for a good 15 minutes and I realized what I was doing. I stood up and said, “I’m wasting time,” and then walked to the car. Alcohol did affect my thinking as I was out of it and staring at the lights and was giggling the entire damn night and I was drunk.

My question is, why am I conscious even when I’m drunk? I’m autistic as well if that helps. Even when I’m smoking weed without my friends (very rarely), it doesn’t do anything. I can hit basically 3 blinkers and everyone will stare at me crazy but I only feel tired usually but I’m full aware and conscious. But why??
