Does selling alcohol at a stadium make me a bad person
I have a genuine question does me working at a soccer stadium make me like a drug dealer. My friends would say I’m doing a regular but my mom who is pentecostal would say I’m sinning. The thought of leading someone to their downfall makes me sick. I personally feel a lot of ditaste for drug dealers, especially ppl who take advantage of others weaknesses or addictions. I see a lot of people who had bad experiences with alcohol, tho it’s also about how the individual abuses the substabce and self medicates i guess. It is like these things are inevitable for sum cause people love this substance too much for it be banned. I question my job my friend told me it’s alright cause I can’t serve them when they are drunk. I been thinking about this a lot lately and no one could give me a clear answer. I know that alcohol is okay for some to drink moderately but drunkenness is an issue that can lead to a spiral. I’m aware of its dangers but I try to serve responsibly. I think it’s just my ocd trying to compare me to the ones who led me to addiction as a child it gives me this really weird feeling. When I work in the stadium I only see people who enjoy the game with a drink but this guilt spiral lately been bugging me. I know that i do it according to the law and regulations and that majority drink responsibly. But I know human nature and how destructive addiction can be. The other matter is I can’t really bypass selling alcohol as part time job in the place where im from. Also I do enjoy my job been doing it for a year now and I only see regular people having fun at the game when I serve them.
