50/50 allergy to alcohol

Sorry but I don’t want to upload an image of it (I try to keep my face off the internet as much as I can). I’m your typical white male in his mid twenties, and I don’t know what it is but I’ve tried several different drinks and brands and I’ve also stuck with captain Morgan for a few years now, and even with trying a broad selection and drinking the single brand I break out in a rash around my eyes and ears only about 50% of the time I drink.

It’s not a major complication, just annoying as it burns for around 30 minutes and goes away afterwards without reappearing that night. I’ve talked to doctors about it but no one can give me a definitive answer on what could really cause it to be so random. If anyone has an idea feel free to tell me, o can’t promise a response, though just know I’ll be forever grateful for any information.

Edit: I should note that this does seem like a genetic issue since my mother and brothers share this same issue, I’ve checked with a few ancestry services and my heritage is almost exclusively Irish and a little British.
