Recommendations

Ive only recently turned 18 and slowly began trying some alc. I have had mainly rtds and ive enjoyed most of them such as the bacardi lemons, the malibu rtds and also some vodka soda limes. I slowly want to get into whisky or rum but the only experience i had with whisky was a jack and coke i made it was a jd mini with the really small cans of coke and i threw it away after two sips because it tasted like pure rubbing alcohol to me. I want to get a bottle that will last me for 2-3 days whether it be a pint of vodka, whisky or rum and some mixers to sip on at night. I just need some recommendations because I am very clueless on what would be good for my palate.
