I just got discharged from the hospital to a medical detox and they wouldn’t take me.

I went to the hospital because I have been trying to self detox from vodka for weeks. They told me they wouldn’t treat me, my BAC was .38

They sent me to a “medical detox facility” I was hoping i would get the usual treatment, IV fluids and librium.

Then they told me my BAC was too high. They are a crisis center, that says ON THE FUCKING FLYER THAT THEY PRESCRIBE MEDS FOR PEOPLE.

They drove me home in what felt like a police car and told me to come back when my BAC was below a .25.

I slept for a while and woke up in serious withdrawal, called them, and they told me they can’t help me other than sit me in a room and let me detox. Due to shortness of breath and racing heart they told me to call EMS, who would take me to the hospital, the same hospital that referred me to this facility. Idk what to do.

Guess I am going to the liquor store at 9 AM. THANK GOD I had a clonazepam to get me through the night. But I can’t do this anymore. I live in small town KS and this hospital is notoriously bullshit. I don’t have the energy to look for more resources right now… I am going to call the hospital tomorrow when a different Dr. Is on duty and explain my issue. They have medically detoxed me before…. idk why they can’t do it again.

Sorry for the rant. Just don’t want to die from withdrawal.
