Was it stupid to try drinking vodka with ice tea?

Yesterday I drank vodka for the first time and tried to drink it but couldn’t do more than 6 shots worth of standard smirnoffs mixed with some mango ice tea, and 2 full squeezes of lemons. I drank it in an hour but couldn’t have more than that because the taste was just awful rather than feeling too drunk
