What’s one bottle you bought because of the hype… but would never buy again?

We’ve all seen bottles that everyone seems to recommend, so naturally we pick one up expecting to be blown away.

Have you ever bought a whiskey, bourbon, vodka, rum, gin, or wine because of the hype, only to end up disappointed?

What was it, and why didn’t it live up to your expectations?

(No judgment if it’s someone else’s favorite—I’m just curious how different people’s tastes can be.)
