Review: Wyoming Whiskey National Parks No. 5 Limited Edition Bourbon (2026)

Wyoming Whiskey’s National Parks-focused releases continue with the fifth official installment in the series, A Tribute to the Tetons, honoring the 97th anniversary of Grand Teton National Park. If you’re wondering why annual release #4 came out in 2024 and #5 is arriving in 2026 it’s because last year’s release, Acadia Edition, was an outlier that honored a national park in Maine instead of one in Wyoming.

If the Tetons sound familiar in Wyoming’s National Parks series, it’s because this is the third time (out of five) that Grand Teton has been the focus. The other two honored Yellowstone — for the obvious reason that those are the only two National Parks in the state. Looking ahead, I’d expect to see Wyoming to continue to wander further afield as it did in 2025.

As with the other Parks releases, this one drops at 5 years of age, bottled at a touch lower than last year’s release at 48% abv.

Wyoming Whiskey National Parks No. 5 Limited Edition Bourbon (2026) Review

National Parks #5 kicks off on the nose with a rustic quality typical of the series, heavy on leather and wood as well as slightly muddy underbrush. Very much of the frontier, it’s hearty and dense, its sweeter notes emerging as nutty — pistachio, maybe — and infused with menthol. A bergamot note evokes aromas of Earl Grey tea.

The palate is warm and toasty, though more balanced than the wood-heavy nose suggests. Chocolate and vanilla quickly give way to a stronger tea leaf character, ringed with orange peel and baking spices, namely allspice, which gives the midpalate a slightly tropical feel. There’s still plenty of oak and leather wrapping up the more evocative elements, and ultimately strangling it a bit, the tea character ultimately becoming more dominant than expected. The conclusion is drying but quite alive, an echo of menthol adding a bracing, almost wintry vibe to the experience.
