Am I the only one who notices that god awful chemical stink after drinking?

Ok, so this frustrated me before, but after getting pregnant, getting the pregnancy super smell and obviously not drinking for a while it’s become so noticeable.

I notice it on certain people more than others. My husband had three beers for the first time in about four months and even the next morning the entire bedroom smelled like it (Is this a health concern btw?). I also smell it right away if my mom has been drinking, but notice nothing on my dad or sister. Why the difference?

I always smell it on alcoholics. It seems to be just me because I can sit in the same bus as someone and immediately notice the smell super strong from someone, and whoever I’m with will not at all get what I’m talking about. When I had periods of drinking maybe a little more than I should, that smell the next morning was always my cue to cut back. But then it’s not just a binge drinking thing because people who I know have been drinking very little can get it right away and have it linger until the next day.

Does anyone else notice this? It drives me crazy because I’ve never had anyone understand what I mean when talking about it. Anyone who knows what causes it?
