Beginner needs some recommendations

I got some tequila, nothing special, but it the aftertaste.. man it breaks my poker face every time. Anyway Im not a lightweight I wouldn’t say but that’s not what’s important, I need some recommendations for how to drink it smoother? Again I’m new to alcohol, sorry
