Need help: Getting alcohol for a party

Hi all, appreciate any help on this. I’m throwing a party for about 35 people. 25 of which will absolutely drink. I come from a Caribbean household so people love to party and have a few drinks. I don’t drink and despite being surrounded by it frequently don’t really know anything. I’m looking to make sure people really have a great time so the budget is up to 1K for the booze (let me know if this is insanely low, high, etc). I’ll be stocking Johnny walker (please tell me what kind I should get since I know there’s a few labels or types) and rum since I know they like that. other than that I’d love some advice on other things like nice red wines, other types of alcohol, beers, etc. People usually go between having stuff on the rocks and mixed drinks so would like a mix of quality as I think certain stuff is too high quality to be in a mixed drinks (correct me if I’m wrong this is based on what I’ve heard) I don’t want people to get trashy so the goal is not to get anyone wasted but rather have a nice selection of things for people to make their own drinks while we hang out poolside for the day. I also know that mixers are needed but have a good idea of what to get for that, it’s literally just the alcohol (especially the wine) I’d like some advice on.
