Drinking driving Interlock installation in QLD

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for advice from anyone who has dealt with a Victorian Alcohol Interlock Program requirement while living in Queensland.

I previously held a Victorian driver licence, but I now live in Queensland. My licence was cancelled due to a drink-driving offence, and Victoria has advised that I will need to install a Victorian alcohol interlock device before I can apply for a Queensland licence.

I’m trying to find out whether there are any providers or service centres in Queensland that can install and service a Victorian Alcohol Interlock Program device.

The closest areas for me would be:

Toowoomba Sunshine Coast Gympie

I understand this needs to be a Victorian-program-compatible interlock, not just a normal Queensland interlock installation.

Has anyone installed a VIC alcohol interlock while living in QLD?
Does anyone know which providers or service centres can do this in Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast, Gympie, or nearby areas?

Any real experience or provider recommendations would be appreciated.
