can someone explain this to me like i am a child?

cocktail doesn’t make me drunk at all i would hardly even feel buzz it always takes atleast 100ml hard liquor with soda to even get slight drunk wtff, all over social media i see ppl getting worst hangover by cocktails but i jut don’t get it wtf is that??
