Can i use a temporary paper license at a winery or restaurant in TX?

my very first drivers license was shipped out last month and was supposed to arrive around now. i never received it and neither did the DMV back from USPS so im assuming it was lost. i called today, they made me a new one and are shipping it out and should arrive in a few weeks. i only have my temporary paper drivers license, and tonight for an older lady’s birthday we are going out to drink and have dinner. it’s a large group ages 22-63. will this paper license work ?
