smell of cutwater after a few hours?

hey all,

i’m 18 and today i had a day off so at 4pm i decided to rip half a 12% cutwater on an empty stomach to loosen up. other useful info is that im really skinny. i have the house to myself for now and until like 8. im planning on eating, drinking a bunch a water and taking a nice shower before then. i just didnt really think about if i would still smell like booze by 8. now im pretty paranoid. when i was younger i was downing tequila before my parents came home and they obviously smelt it on me, but at the time i didnt know people could smell alcohol on you. anyways, am i fine? or is it time to just accept the consequences.
