Drink of the Week: Chambéryzette Strawberry Aperitif
Does any flavor better herald in the sweet, early days of summer than strawberry? Made with fresh alpine strawberries from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France, Chambéryzette Strawberry Aperitif was originally created by Dolin in 1902. But the product only made it stateside in 2025 thanks to importer Haus Alpenz. Built on Dolin’s classic Vermouth de Chambéry, the aromatic aperitif is bright and juicy with the flavors of fresh strawberry. The vermouth’s botanical profile and a subtly bitter counterpoint gently temper Chambéryzette’s inherent sweetness. The summery aperitif is a cocktail chameleon, playing well with spirits from gin to rum to tequila. It’s a natural match for a spritz, but we are particularly partial to a fruity Negroni riff. $23.99, curiada.com
