Is it normal to get a red face and hot cheeks, nose and ears when drinking?

Even with one beer or glass of wine and I’m ready to start sweating. Nothing else it’s just inconvenient, parents said my grandpa would get that way too and was very noticeable since he drank a lot and hard liquor.
