Do parents know, even if you have had time to sober up?

I haven’t been really drinking THAT much when I go out. But now I have a party coming up where probably more than a lot of drinking is involved. Thankfully, the party begins at 10PM – I will be back home only at 1PM the next day.

In theory, I will be sober by then – but, will parents STILL know? Yes, the hangover. But, can’t I just say it’s a headache/say I didn’t sleep the entire night? I have used this previously and they never had second thoughts and they are very strict.
