Change of scenery

Have you cooked with bourbon yet? I don’t mean just drink it while cooking, I mean marinating beef with Texas bourbon. I do this from time to time. Today was steak tacos marinated in Chapline Distillery Cask strength with salt and pepper.

Paired with homemade corn tortillas and melted Oaxaca cheese, caramelized onions and a spread of chile piquín salsa combined with refried beans. Sprinkle some lime and chopped red onions.
