Retinol and asian flush?

So before i ever started using retinol for my skin, i never experienced asian flush. But i noticed that one day, after i had used retinol for a couple weeks, that when I had drank alc for the first time in a while, that i was immediately met with like hella blood flow to my face. I searched it up on the web to see if there could be a connection and they mentioned something abt aldh but like the terms they were using were confusing but could retinol be the cause of my asian flush? And also is using retinol while drinking useless then?
