Did I drink fake vodka?

Forgive me if I’m being stupid here, as this was my first time trying stolichnaya. I have never heard a bad thing about it, supposedly it’s really smooth and high quality. Me and my friend purchased this bottle from a local off-license a few days ago, and this is the only picture I have of the bottle. This stuff was absolutely DISGUSTING, it felt like I was drinking hand sanitizer or some 95% spirit rather than vodka. It gave us both the worst heartburn on the way down and my friend even puked from it (he did have a lot though). But this was the absolute worst vodka I had ever tasted, and I have tried a lot of vodkas. With people saying this stuff is meant to be “like drinking water” whatever we drank doesn’t seem right at all. After further research I can’t find a single bottle with this design anywhere labelled “stoli vodka”. They all say “stolichnaya” with this design or “stoli vodka” with a very different design from this one. If anyone could shed some light on this it would be much appreciated.
