advice on drinking after throwing up?

at a party a few weeks ago i drank a bit too much and ended up hurling and going home, and last night i went to a party and i swear alcohol couldnt touch my lips without me feeling queazy, i used to be able to drink a lot but after that time, i couldnt and last night and i was dead sober. it was my first time since i threw up. any advice or tips on how to overcome this?
