I’m a huge lightweight and I don’t experience the “fun” effects of alcohol

I don’t know if this happens for anyone else, but I just turned eighteen and decided to legally experiment before going to college. I’ve read before of the effects of alcohol, but my admittedly limited experiences don’t really match with what other people describe. After one to two drinks I simply feel tired and dizzy, like every cell of my being is weighed down with lead for a while, then get sick. Some friends and I visited a bar after prom, and while everyone else lost some portion of their inhibitions and became more extroverted, I felt mostly clear-headed until I had to throw up, after which everything returned to normal, like nothing had happened at all. Despite my abysmal tolerance I also don’t seem to get hungover the next day.

All in all, I don’t know if this is some sort of unfortunate genetic predisposition to simply eject whatever toxins are put into me without any corresponding commotion, or if it is a result of my inexperience. Is there something wrong with me? Should I just refrain from alcohol consumption for the rest of my life?
