Different effects from different alcohols

I know that question should have been asked many times but i didnt believe that different alcohols could have differents effect since a month ago.

I normally drink beers, around 6 to 14 beers each times. After one or 2 beers i already start feeling the euphoria of the beers(alcohol).

I tried drinking whisky 3 times in the last month (just whisky) and each times i didnt felt any euphoria. Even if i drank like 10 shooters (30ml x 45%).

Last time i drank like 5 shooters of whiskys and just had a headache but i drank a beer after, and at the moment i finished my beer i started feeling euphoria.

So, i started to believe that theres a real effect difference between types of alcohol.

Whats your experience about that ?
