Tearing up and coughing

When I drink pink whitney my throat closes up and I can’t breathe, I’m coughing and tearing up. I have to be careful and also have my inhaler with me when I drink it. Anyone else have this issue with pink whitney and why does it affect me that way? And no “if it does that don’t drink it” I know the risks and have my inhaler and water with me.
