Can alcohol make you actually fall in love with someone?

I’m a 20 year old male that went on a trip to Mallorca in Spain with some classmates and friends.

I’m not a heavy drinker and drink only casually and have a decent control around how much I consume throughout the day.

I went to a party with my friend and I was slightly drunk, I was going for a shot of tequila and suddenly this chick takes my hands and starts teaching me how to dance, for some reason I didn’t think much of it at the moment but she was very pretty. She was with her female friends and they asked where I was from and then the conversation was pretty short.

Later on I was at the dance floor with my mate and she was with her friends, she started looking at me a lot and I looked back and at some moments when both had a clear sight of each other she would smile and wave at me, and I answered with a smile, these happened like 3 times that night.

I can confidently say that I am very emotionally attached to this girl even though we didn’t know each other before that night. And I’ve been recently thinking about her a lot these last 3 days. Since we are staying in the same hotel

The question I would like to ask to people with more drinking experience is if alcohol has an altered effect around our feelings towards other persons that we may or may not know. And if so how to recognise these traits and how to deal with them.
