very high tolerance or just genetically fucked?

Hi, so I’m 18 male, 5’8 190lbs and I drink once a week like most people my age. What I don’t get is, I seemingly can’t get “drunk” unless I drink an absurd amount. I can definitely feel a little buzz off of a single beer after not drinking for a week, but I need at least 2-3 more to get where I wanna be. But to say I’m drunk I’d have to have like 8 shots, which is very unhealthy and also leaves me with nasty hangovers. Idk why I’m like this, I have the tolerance of someone who drinks every day. Should I just not drink for like a month or more to “reset” my tolerance completely, or are there any other ways to get tipsy without drinking so much
