Keep, drink or discard?
Hi all! A few years ago a friend of my housemate and I gave us a box of alcohol they didn’t want to take with them while moving. We’re not very active at drinking alcohol. We might buy a bottle of something once or twice a year.
We’re doing some spring cleaning, finally pulled out the box from the shelf, and decided to discard them. I poured out the bottles that were open (after sampling to see if they were good. I didn’t drink, I just tried a small amount and spit.) Rinsed them out and set them aside for recycling.
Now we’re left with four bottles that are still sealed. (A plum wine, a dessert wine, and the other are unknown, being in Korean and Chinese respectively.) I feel a bit bad for discarding bottles that haven’t been opened.
Would these still be fine to consume?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
