Tequila

I usually get Don Julio reposado or anejo for sipping, that or patron reposado or anejo too. However I have been wanting to try other Mexican owned tequilas. I think patron is not necessarily Mexican owned. Anyways, I got some herradura añejo. The first sips were a bit too sweet but the burn was good. However I did get an immediate headache. Tequila usually doesn’t give me a hangover or headaches. Could it be because it wasn’t an actual tequila? Is it the quality? Anyways this is why I am afraid to try new brands. I got one once that had the initial taste/burn but then just tasted like rubbing alcohol! Any thoughts? Sorry for rambling btw
