Why do I feel happy after being drunk?

Normally when I’ve been drunk, having a good time, after it comes the good ol horrible hangover and depressed mood… but nowdays I’ve found the hangover to be not that awful and I feel pretty happy and energetic as sober too. and I thought Alcohol wasn’t supposed to have an afterglow…!? Plus I don’t even drink less amounts now, I actually drink even more. Dunno.
