Edibles and beer?

I don’t usually take edibles, as I prefer the control of smoking. I often mix alcohol and weed and the combo is really my thing. I have some lingering bronchitis but picked up some edibles to take later. I was thinking about throwing a few beers in the mix because weed without alcohol tends to make me anxious. Anyone who uses this mix have any pointers or warnings?
