I have a friend who got behind the wheel (Intoxicated), yes they messed up and it was the first time it happened.

The EMS found him in his car and he threw up and passed out. They took him to the hospital, he felt better and they sent him home that same day. (This was about 2 days ago). Will the police be involved now? Blood samples were not taken.. So what happens now?
