Sick of drinking. Culture in Ireland is too much addiction, anyone else agree?

Drink was always something we were told was great when young in school growing up “just wait till you turn 18 and the fun will then begin!” Adverts make it look great, Ireland has like 5 pubs on every street . I started at 17/18 now I’m 29 and really addicted I can’t seem to go a week without boosing. It’s really hard. I’ve puked before interviews and during college, I’ve been barred from pubs I’ve been miserable and it’s led to drugs but as soon as I try and stop .. a few days later, either me or one of the lads says, “right so, few pints?” “Sure why not,”
