Antacids/something to calm down my stomach while drinking?

I really don’t drink too often, like a few times a year, mostly because of this problem. The last few times I tried I couldn’t take more than a couple shots because of the acid reflux and general nausea/gross feeling from the alcohol. It’s always been like this a bit but it wasn’t as bad before and I would at least be able to get drunk, even if I ended up throwing up violently after. What’s something I can buy (preferably something obtainable from a US drug store) to help this guy out?
