Drank 7 shots didnt feel anything.

Im very new to drinking only drank maybe 5-10 times. Me and my friends decided to have some drinks tonight, we chose whiskey. I had 7 shots, and my friend had 9. We both didnt feel barely anything. Whats the problem?
