Can you bring Absinthe to Canada from the Netherlands

I’m visiting the Netherlands and a friend asked me to bring them back a mickey of Absinthe for them. I searched up the laws around Absinthe in The Netherlands and Canada and it seems legal in both countries under certain regulations. I’m I allowed to bring it back in my luggage and do I have to claim it. I’ve never brought back any alcohol before and I’m not aware of the that process. Don’t want any fines or trouble. Please help with any info.
